Thomas is a 14 years old boy, he plays the three strings of an old guitar. Insidious virus, he indulges in long monochord repetitive melodies that never end. After some tours with different groups he doesn't hesitate anymore. He will be a guitarist. At 21 he starts his learning and at 24 he graduates in contemporary music."Step across the border", the documentary on guitarist Fred Frith, is a revelation. At 22 he discovers his path : oblique music, the work of a "pure", prepared or midi guitar , drums and percussions with the use of kitchen, grill and shower tools and other weird objects, cans of gasoline played by feet and big flat chest where sounds and objects spin, some field recordings and the stunning world of computers, samplers and virtual instruments : the exploration of all azimuths. Then offshore navigation. Alone or in team, in the archipelagos of circus, dance, image , theatre, performance and installations. Art and music have no borders and this is excellent.
